Special Needs

Teens in this program work with children or adults with special needs to help them realize their potential and to achieve their goals. Depending on their team, TELEM volunteers may work with individuals in a variety of settings including schools, residences or recreational facilities. Teens gain a tremendous sense of pride and accomplishment as they help others to learn and grow while developing strong bonds of friendship Whether working together on an arts and crafts project, playing a game or simply enjoying a movie together, the shared experience is an enriching and rewarding one for all.

Our current partners in the Special Needs Track include:

  • Prozdor High School at Hebrew College and Gateways: Access to Jewish Education
  • Temple Chayai Shalom, Easton and Massachusetts Hospital School, Canton
  • Temple Isaiah, Lexington, and Minuteman ARC

TELEM works in partnership with Gateways: Access To Jewish Education to provide training and consultation to TELEM Special Needs partners and sites.
