"The trip I took with TELEM was possibly one of the best trips I've been on. It is the first trip I've ever taken with a group and because of my positive experience it won't be my last. During my time in Mexico I learned a great deal about the way the people there live. However, as much as I thought we were going there to help the community, I feel that they are the ones who helped us. They taught us so much, and were such gracious hosts. I always felt safe and very happy. We had such a close bond with the people and children of the community I remember feeling a great sadness when I left. However, I have already written to my friends there and I plan on keeping in touch. This trip was a very positive experience for me and it taught me a lot about both the community and the NGO in the community and how much they do."
